Purple tea is a rare variety of Yunnan large-leaf tea. Its raw tea is purple-red when grown on the tea tree,dark green when made into dry tea,and turquoise when brewed in a cup. Therefore,it is called "three-color tea" by ethnic minorities in the Pu'er tea area. The "tea,the best purple" recorded in Lu Yu's "The Classic of Tea" refers to purple tea. This tea is made from purple tea using traditional techniques. After the tea is brewed,the soup is bright golden red,much brighter than that of ordinary Pu'er ripe tea. The special tea aroma contains a hint of rose,with a long-lasting aftertaste and is extremely resistant to brewing.
